Yeast alive!

The mushroom-yeast sourdough starter last mentioned a week or so ago, the slow one, continued to display a complete lack of ambition for the next week and I nearly tossed it. But I decided Sunday evening to feed it one more time, and suddenly yesterday it’s a going concern and overflowed its bowl. It looks and smells good, in a yeasty sort of way.

So next time I want to try the mushroom danish, I will have a good yeast starter to pitch!
