Welcome!
Professionally, I’m an experienced, 20+ year veteran of software development, from line to executive levels, with an emphasis on software infrastructure, mentoring, and a knack for solving difficult technical problems. In 2009 I went on hiatus from full time I.T. work to attend culinary school. Following graduation, I cooked professionally until it became necessary to care for my parents in Tucson, where I returned part-time to development work.
In 2016, to use and develop a discovered talent, I began volunteering at Pima Animal Care Center (our county shelter) in a special program for dogs that are too fearful or too poorly socialized to be immediately adoptable, and also developed a mobile web app that makes essential information about the animals available to volunteers and staff. Personal interests include food and cooking; discovering new markets, ingredients, flavors, techniques, and cuisines; beer and wine; film and travel. And of course dogs.
